Invisible patterns are so small that they appear invisible. DG DIMENSE designers created these patterns to hide media imperfections (e.g., color banding) and, in some cases, to add additional, barely visible texture to the design.
Invisible patterns should be used if the area (without structure) is larger than 2 cm and is a solid color or a very slight gradient. There is no need to use them if the details are smaller than 2 cm. However, the necessity depends on the color intensity. In some cases, even if the area is smaller than 2 cm, banding might appear, requiring the use of the invisible pattern.
